Anybody got any information on how to fit them, and how to secure them?

We recently borrowed one that was apparently 'one size' - well, seems like it was meant for the larger of horses as it buried my 14.2hh! When I mounted, the gullet was pressing really hard on his withers, and the stirrup leathers had the buckles so they were like pressing into the horse's sides.

Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks
