If you have read my blog, you may well know that my 28year old acts like a 3 year old when out riding. At night he comes in at a gallop for his food, and he is still capable of hacking out jumping ditches and cantering with a huge buck showing how excited he is! I love him to bits, anyone else have a golden oldie who thinks he is still a colt (or filly!)?

I'd love to hear about them!

 I agree, my 22yr old Cob Bonnie is still very energetic and loves nothing more than to have a good gallop whenever she can. She hates walking and loves to trot everywhere i guess she will let me know when its time for her to slow down but thats certainly not yet!!

Yep, I totally get what you mean! I have a 23 year old ex-racehorse called Ben, and he is still happy to go for an hour long hack including a good long gallop, I love him to bits!!! As well as that, after every ride or just when we turn him out, he starts galloping round the field snorting!
